Payment of benefits

Spouse/civil partner/relevant partner

Despite the PPF offering 50% provision for spouse/civil partners and relevant partners, the scheme rules still determine if a pension is paid.

Qualifying children

Must be a natural child, adopted child or child of the family who was financially dependent upon the member at the time of death and who was either under 18 or between 18-23 and

  • In qualifying education
  • Has a qualifying disability

Compensation Cap

Members who take benefits before the age of 65 will have the cap reduced, but if they take them after 65 the compensation cap will be increased.
