Clients may be uncomfortable to hold investments which go against their own beliefs or views, such as:

• buy shares (or invest in funds that buy shares) in companies that manufacture or supply arms, tobacco or alcohol; or
• invest in companies that carry out experiments on animals.

As a result of their views they may lose out on longer term growth.
